Our team undertakes research that leads to an appreciation of the unique and special flora of Australia and encourages its protection.
Our tools includes working to build natural history botanical collections, systematics, evolution and taxonomy research, the biology of species, DNA based genomic and population genetic analyses, documenting and understanding plant traits, experimental and observational work to identify species responses to changing environments, understanding ecosystems as a whole and modelling scenarios for plant survival. We understand scientific investigations to support the management of our flora, natural resource management and to improve policy and its application supporting long term goals of protecting our biodiversity.
